We Gather in God's Name

Dear God,

We are coming to You from the noise, and turmoil of the world.

We know You hear us as we take a moment of our day

to bring our cares and prayers to you.

Please stand when offering a prayer, so others will know you have the floor.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

Amen.

Dear God,

Please help us shift this world from sorrow to peace;

away from violence and into love; away from darkness and into light.

Please show us all the way.

May our eyes see a sign of hope,

may the tears be wiped away,

may hearts be glad and lives be healed by love.
