We Gather in God's Name

Opening Prayer Litany - based on Psalm 79:1-9

Leader: O Lord, you are the God of our salvation. We have no hope without you:

People: Hear us when we call to you.

Leader: O Lord, you are the compassionate God who cared for our ancestors and our parents:

People: Come now to us to save us, we pray..

Leader: O Lord, you are the Changeless God whom we honor and revere:

People: We come this day to worship you, O God, because we trust in your merciful grace.

Amen.

Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession

Please stand when offering a prayer, so others will know you have the floor.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

Amen.

Closing Prayer

God We’ve come into your presence

to pray together and listen to your wisdom.

Please help us to hear you speaking in our lives.

Help us to give you the glory,

help us to serve, support and encourage each other

as we go about our lives this week.

Amen
