Opening Song: Domine Spiritus Est

<mp3>http://mrlocke.net/files/BlessTheLord.mp3</mp3>

Bless the Lord, my soul
And Bless God's holy name
Bless the Lord, my soul
Who leads me into life

We Hear God's Word

from Psalm 63

O God, you are my God, for you I long;
for you my soul is thirsting.
My body pines for you
like a dry, weary land without water.
So I gaze on you in the sanctuary
to see your strength and your glory.

For your love is better than life,
my lips will speak your praise.
So I will bless you all my life,
in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet,
my mouth shall praise you with joy.

On my bed I remember you.
On you I muse through the night
for you have been my help;
in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
My soul clings to you;
your right hand holds me fast.

Song: Stay With Me

Stay with me
remain here with me.
Watch and pray,
watch and pray.

Acts 2:42-47

The first Christians devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

We Respond in Prayer

Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession

Please stand when offering a prayer, so others will know you have the floor.

A Time of Silence

This time is the heart of the Taize service -- please use it to meditate or reflect silently on all the prayers that have been voiced, as well as those that remain unvoiced.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

We Go in Peace

Closing Song: In the Lord, I'll Be Ever Thankful

<mp3>http://mrlocke.net/files/InTheLord.mp3</mp3>

In the Lord, I'll be ever thankful
In the Lord, I will rejoice
Look to God, do not be afraid
Lift up your voices, the Lord is near!
Lift up your voices, the Lord is near!
