We Gather in God's Name

Opening Prayer

“Almighty and everliving God, in your holy Name you have called us and gathered us together.

We come before you today, O God, to offer you our praise and thanksgiving. We thank you for your many blessings, and we ask that you continue to guide us and lead us along the path you have set before us.

We ask for your wisdom and knowledge as we face the challenges of life, and we seek your strength and courage to overcome all obstacles. We pray for your guidance and protection as we go out into the world to do your will.

And finally, we thank you for this time that we can be together in your presence, and we ask that you would bless us now as we worship you. Amen.”

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, 

and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.
